Wet Evening

Wet Evening acrylic and inks on canvas paper framed £380

I was walking down Walton Street in Oxford on a wet evening heading to an art exhibition at Oxford University Press when I saw this scene and it fitted perfectly into my series of Oxford Under Wraps for Artweeks 2018. The newly built Blavatnik centre seems to rise above the old buildings which are shrouded in scaffolding. The street lights draw the eye down to Jericho and the old heart of Walton Street. The lone pedestrian epitomises the new generation of inhabitants of this shabby chic part of the city.
